Olympian and PCRM Friend Allyson Felix Helps USA Break World Record in 4x100-Meter Relay
Congratulations to Olympic sprinter and PCRM friend Allyson Felix whose lightning-fast speed today helped the U.S. team win gold and break the 27-year-old world record in the women’s 4x100-meter relay. On Wednesday, Felix won gold in the 200-meter dash.
Felix has supported PCRM's campaign to improve school lunches with more fruits, vegetables, healthful plant-based meal options, and nondairy beverages. Felix joined PCRM president Neal Barnard, M.D., PCRM director of government affairs Elizabeth Kucinich, and other experts at a Congressional briefing about improving the nutritional quality of foods served in our nation’s lunchrooms.
But Felix isn't our only running friend. Learn about PCRM’s new VegRUN.org fundraising program that offers a comprehensive plant-based training program for a half marathon and marathon and features vegan coaches including ultramarathoner Scott Jurek, Ironman triathlete Brendan Brazier, and long-distance running marvel Rich Roll.
