Sloppy Joes
(Serves 8)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup coarsely chopped onions
2 medium green bell peppers, coarsely chopped
1-1/2 cups boiling water
1 16-ounce can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder (more to taste)
1 teaspoon dried mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1-1/2 cups dry texturized vegetable protein (TVP)
Heat the oil and sauté the onions and pepper for 5 minutes. Add
the remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve over
hamburger rolls.
