Vegan Doctor

My family doctor will be retiring soon so I'm starting to look for a new one. I'd love it if I could find one like Dr. Joel Fuhrman, who is well versed in vegan lifestyle/diet. Does anyone know if there's some way to learn this short of calling them and asking? I live in Greenville, SC, which is definately not a place that's over run with vegans!

From the shows I've seen on PBS, I gathered that Dr Fuhrman is big on plant foods, but not vegan. Am I wrong?

LOL! I didn't save the reply I got, but I actually sent that question to his website about a month ago. I got the reply that 100% plant-based is the best and how he eats, but he realizes that most Americans aren't willing to give up their meat. So his goal in the PBS/Dr. Oz specials is to get the American public most of the way there.

Excuse me! This thread is getting off track from my original intent. Without mentioning any other doctors in my question, does anyone know how I might be able to find a doctor in the area I live who is an advocate for a vegan lifestyle?
