I keep the soy out (no tofu, tempeh, soymilk, etc.) Can you have lentils? They work well as a protein in most dishes in lieu of beans. Also, maybe do small (tiny portion) tests of different beans - a friend of ours can eat black, white, and garbanzo beans just fine but not pinto beans or soybeans.
