list of foods allowed

Is there a list of foods allowed? I know no meat, or dairy. What about veggies? Are all allowed?

The list would be infinite. All fruits, all vegetables, all legumes, and all whole grains.

Eggplant - There is a suggested grocery list, but it is mostly staples and not all of them appear on the recipes - or at least the January one was like that. I haven't looked for March yet.

I'm guessing you're a new member here for the March Kickstart. Early on in the January thread someone posted that they liked to walk through sections of the grocery store (such as the produce area or the beans and grain aisle) and say to themselves, "I can have anything here."

I really liked that idea of focusing on the huge variety of foods that you can have because, like Susan wrote, they are nearly infinite.

So we dont have to worry about how many carbs we are eating or sugar grams in a day? We just eat these foods and lose weight?

Not if you are eating carbs from fruits, vegetables, beans, and grains. I'm not saying eat all the vegan doughnuts you can get your hands on. Those would be less desirable carbs, to put it mildly.

But there is absolutely no need to count grams of sugar and carbs that you get naturally from whole foods.

I dont eat doughnuts, or ice cream, cookies. I am a starch lover. Potatoes, sometimes rice, bread, (thats the one I can over do on),popcorn.

Love all the green and yellow veggies.

Thank you for your help.

Not completely into the groove of things.
