Glyc-words

Susan

I notice that all these words have "glyc" in them:

Glycemic Index
Glycerine
Glyco-alkaloids
Triglycerides
Glycindable

To be quite honest, I made the last one up. I needed a fifth word because five is my lucky number.

But do you know if the other words are connected in some way ??

I'd be really grateful for your advice on this.

Theodore

Not 100% positive, but off the top of my head I believe "gly" or 'glyco" means sugar. All those words refer to sugar in some way. Well... maybe except your special 5th word! Smile

Thanks for the info Sparkledee.

Do you think foods containing glycoalkaloids cause high triglycerides. Like white potatoes for instance ??
