Cancer help
Posted Friday, March 18, 2011 at 2:42 PM
Hi all, the biopsy is in . Synovial sarcoma. My sister and I will be leaving this weekend for an extended care trip for our mother. I will be feeding her. I want THE best nutrition. I thought Christina Pirello had a cancer book out but she doesn't. I plan on live juicing... can anyone recommend a book geared to chemo/radiation/cancer treatment?

There is a dietitian whose name is Diana Dyer. Her information is not totally vegan but you can alter her recipes or find those that are vegan to begin with. http://www.cancerrd.com/

Thank you! I will be leaving in the morning. I plan on (with moms cooperation) changing her to a vegan diet with lots of live juice during her treatment plan.

I haven't had a chance to look into anything yet. We were unsure of the diagnosis until yesterday and I won't be with her until tomorrow. On Monday I plan on getting her started with good food and juicing but first step is vegan. I will only be working 1 job from now on so I am hoping for more time to research the possibilities. With cooking for her and care providing though I may find my tine goes quickly. I will review emails and welcome responses, thank you so much everyone!

Christina Pirello had terminal leukemia about 30 years ago. She cured herself with a vegan macrobiotic diet. Her first cookbook, Cooking the whole foods way, goes into it the most.

CathyB I did know about Chritina struggling with leukemia but couldn't find a book dealing directly with cancer. Thank you for pointing me to the right book. Trying to get packed for an unknown time, had to move out of where I was living 2 nights prior to leaving plus a multitude of other major life stressors doesn't have me thinking quite clearly and I really appreciate the books and links recommended here. Thank you!

[url]http://www.gerson.org/ Max Gerson discovered the cure for cancer about 80 years ago. It is with juicing, almost vegan diet and coffee enema's-which detoxify the liver and help with pain. You can watch The Beautiful Truth or The Gerson Miracle to learn more. I would reccomend looking into this before any conventional therapy which kills the immune system. The Gerson therapy heals the body which then heals itself. I wish you the best of luck. Sending light and love you way. Amy

Thank you for the additional information. I am afraid that my Mom will not be able to do only this treatment. The cancer she is has is very rare, synovial sarcoma, and very aggressive. Right now unless the chemo shrinks the tumor in her leg, it will be amputated. It has already spread to her lungs. I have started her on a whole foods, vegan diet and bought a juicer that I received tonight. So right now that is as much as I can do is getting good foods in, bad foods out and juicing. She has a very positive attitude and that really helps. Thank you all the support. This is a very difficult situation on so many levels.
