Under subscription options you can choose yes or no to various requests. Do you want to be emailed every new post, for example? "Toggle" simply means to choose yes or no. I get the toggle bit, but what I don't get is the difference between emailing "all new posts", "new posts in this conference"(what's a conference?) and "email new posts in this forum" I just looked hard at the forum page and now realize that a conference is a year and a forum is a season of kickstart in that year. So the first option would mean an email everytime someone posts to any of the conferences and forums going back to when you first started, right? So then what is the difference between getting an email to a forum or conference and subscribing to a thread? I don't spend a lot of time on messsage boards so forgive the ignorance!! lol But I'm not ignorant about eating well!!

Emailing to the conference means you get an email for every message posted Emailing to a forum means only getting emails from the kickstart(s) you're interested in, but it's every message posted on those Emailing to a thread means only getting emails on discussions you are interested in - and that can be on a case by case basis. Just below the window I'm typing in, I can change the Yes to No and never get an email on this discussion. --Deb R

If they had used the word "email" for all three, maybe I would have gotten it. Couldn't figure out the diff between email and subscribe. If I toggle yes to receive email of all posts to the forum, can I then choose to occasionally toggle to no on a particular thread without it canceling out the whole forum?

I should think so, but I usually do it the reverse - I have them all Off and then subscribe to threads that I'm interested in. It really depends on how you prefer things - I prefer to pop into the forum online every day or so to check out the action and only get emails on things I've chosen to follow. --Deb R
