Grocery shopping
Posted Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:32 AM

I'm excited to be starting the 21 day challenge next week! I see that the grocery shopping list recommends bread with 4 gm of fiber/slice. I checked the label on my Ezekiel bread this morning and it only has 3 gm fiber/slice. And I figured it would be one of the BEST choices for high fiber bread! Does anyone have any recommendations for brands or recipes for higher fiber bread? Or should I not worry about it since I will be getting additional fiber from all the other veggies, fruit, etc that I will be eating?

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it myself. There are so many choices for high fiber.

Hi, Not sure if you can find this product as I don't know where you live but one of the breads I buy is named Healthy Life which is high fiber 100% whole grains with 6 grams, 6 net carbs with added flaxseed with omega-3 at 40 calories a slice and the best part is there is NO HIGH FRUTOSE CORN SYRUP which is as terrible for your body as Palm Oil.. Healthy Life is made by Lewis Bakeries, Inc. w/ general offices in Evansville IN.
Good Luck,Gramma from snowy Michigan. Smile

Agreeing...The Ezekiel bread is great. I get that too. It's vegan, all whole grain, flourless, and tasty. What's not to like? Smile The recipes have tons of vegetables. You don't need to worry about getting fiber!

You guys are echoing what I thought. I'll stick with the Ezekiel bread, and search out other options too, but not worry too much. I know I'm getting tons more fiber than I did on my OLD diet anyway!

Thanks from Texas!
