Here is an article with a lot of info.

Personally, I take a daily multi-vitamin just to be on the safe side, not for b12 specficially, but for the whole range of vitamins and minerals.

If you take a multi-vitamin, I don't think it is necessary to buy separate supplements for specific vitamins.

I hate for anyone to miss out on all of the other B12 conversations posted in this forum already. If you go to the top of any page here and click on "Search," you can type in "B12" and see what's been posted.

For 21 days; no worries. It you are planning a longer stay, then get your B12 somewhere.

My rice milk is supplemented with B12 as is my soy milk and my ready-to-eat breakfast cereals.

If you take a multi-vitamin supplement you likely get all you need there. I don't, so I take a B12 supplement twice a week.

I buy nutritional yeast (which is not regular yeast) at a health foods store, such as Whole Foods Market. They sell the Red Star brand in bulk. A little goes a long way. I use about a 1/2 Tbs. a day sprinkled on soups, chili, or marinara sauce. It has a cheezy like flavor. It took me a while to get use to it, but now I really like it. On some vegan websites there are recipes for macaroni & cheese & other recipes using nutritional yeast.
