Chocolate buckwheat "popcorn"

From my raw vegan files:

Here's a good "popcorn" substitute. I sprout buckwheat groats (only soak it about 20 mins, will sprout in 1-2 days), add some raw agave, carob or ground chocolate nibs, cinnamon, sea salt, and vanilla, mix together, dehydrate in oven or dehydrator, or simply put in fridge to harden up. You can eat this to your heart's content, and it's very "snacky." I make a batch weekly.

Just make sure that you get groats, they are small, whitish, greenish little triangles (not the black buckwheat, which is for making grass).

If you want regular popcorn and dont have an airpopper, you can put about 1/8 to 1/4 c popcorn in a brown lunch bag for about two mins in microwave. Watch carefully to avoid burning.

Spray with canola spray and sprinkle with flavored popcorn salts , spices, garlic salt, etc. I like mazola "pure" butter flavor spray with no silicone. I havent checked it for any butter content tho... So keep that in mind.
