Rice and Soy Milk
Posted Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 10:53 AM

I'm new to rice milk. I know the expiration date on rice milk is a LOT longer than the expiration date you would find on a bottle of cow's milk. However, the package also says the rice milk will stay fresh 7-10 days once opened. I've had my rice milk in the fridge for about a month and it still seems okay. How long does rice milk usually stay good? I don't use a lot of milk, and I'd hate to throw the rest of my cartons away when the milk is still good. Do the same rules also apply to soy milk?

Thanks!

Definitely go for what the package says - 7-10 days after opening.

It may smell okay, and sometimes I will go a few more days after that, but a month I think is pushing it.
