gall bladder help
Posted Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 1:50 AM

I had an ultrasound done about 6 months ago due to pain on and off and a constant achiness on my right side that spreads around to my back. I was told I had gallstones. The symptons went away and the Dr felt it was best just to leave it alone, but these past few days have been horrible! I checked online for a gall bladder diet and have been eating raw shredded organic beets with lemon juice and a little olive oil. I just grab a tablespoon or two every few hours. I also saw a recipe where you steam celery, parsley, zucchini and green beans till tender, then blend them into a puree or thin it a bit and have it as a soup. Kind of bland but I love all the veggies so I've been eating it. I am having a bit of relief tonight after having some of the pureed vegetables and laying on my right side for a half hour.

Does anyone have any other home (healthy) remedies for the pain? I do make some ginger tea and suck on the chunks of ginger, but that gets pretty spicy. LOL The ginger does seem to calm things down. I just want to get rid of the achines all together. It feels like a fractured rib I had years ago in a car accident, but this doesnt' seem to go away completely.

Thanks for any help!

Dee

Hi Dee,
My family has a long line of gall balder problems. When I was a kid my grandmother would get it after food binges of greasy foods. At one point they were going to take it out. But the chiropractor we went to said,
"Brew green tea as strong as you can and eat a can of green beans." My mom thought he was a bit crazy. But it worked.
A few years ago my son had an attach from eating a fast food diet for about a week. I told him, "Brew some green tea and eat a can of green beans." He felt better in a short time. I guess there is something in the green tea and can green beans has something that fresh ones don't. It can't hurt.
I am not a doctor and I don't play one on TV :0 so don't think this medical advice!!!
Good luck. And be well.

The book gives you a way to get to the root of the problem by getting the stones out, the changes you will see in your health are amazing. It has changed my life!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm out of green beans tonight as I've been using them with a few other veggies to make that soup I mentioned, but I've had green tea all day today. Will go grocery shopping tomorrow and try the tea and beans together. Very Happy

I've been reading some good reviews from the book (link) and am going to see if its at my local library tomorrow. If not, I will order it. Thanks again for the information!

Dee
