Wonderful Sugar substitute
Posted Monday, March 1, 2010 at 1:09 PM

Recently I went to Teavanna to stock up and the sales woman gave me some great advice, one of them being a sugar substitute. I have been a Splenda addict, not liking stevia because of the aftertaste for years. Now I am hooked on the perfect substitute and wanted to share it with everyone.

it is by NuNaturals - Liquid Stevia - Alcohol-Free Vanilla flavored.

I got it at a small local health food store and it was $14.99 for 2 fl. Oz. You only need 7 drops for a cup of tea or coffee (even in food), so it will last a long time. You cannot even taste the vanilla flavor and there is no aftertaste. This is great for diabetics as it doesn't affect your blood sugar level and it's VEGAN!

Thanks for the tip! I have started using Truvia instead of Splenda. I will check out your suggestion at Whole Foods.

There is a web site called netrition.com that sells liquid stevia in big bottles for much less. They are made by NOW which is a good company.
