RE: How long did it take to see a difference....

Hi Devasha, the feelings you're having most likely are due to the fact that your digestive track is unaccustomed to the introduction into your diet of certain grains and legumes. Speaking only for myself, it took a while for my GI track to settle down. I originally went vegan in March, and had many issues with that problem. This time around, though, I'm not having the same reactions. My gut is calm, I'm not uncomfortable, and I feel much better. The other change I've made, that I didn't do well enough up until now, is that as of a few days ago, I've added much more quantity of veggies to my eating plan. Filling up on them has automatically resulted in my eating less of the grains that were causing my problems in March through most of the summer. So, it takes time for your body to become adjusted, and a little "detective" work on your part to pay attention to what food item/items are the worst offenders. When you find out which ones are, consider substituting other acceptable foods for them to give your GI track a break. When you do add the offenders back in, do it very slowly. Your body will eventually come around. Congratulations on your determination to making this work for you! Just be patient and you'll turn the corner soon!
