Weight loss for health reasons is my primary goal at this time with the environment a close second. Animals are not for our food (or experimenting upon either). But the health reasons are most important to me right now and I appreciate all the encouragement people can give me. Anyone who has lost a lot of weight by adopting a low-fat vegan diet... I would love to hear from you. Anyone who is in my situation and with whom we could share encouragement during January 2012's Kickstart please post replies to this thread. Thanks, Anne Hi Anniegoat! I'm so glad your in and must compliment everyone who has responded to your post - such inspirations! And the hallmark of a true winner is one who keep at it again and again. It sounds like you have some definite goals, too, which is a good thing. Focusing on the health as you have the motivation and driver of weight loss is a huge connection that will help you a lot - cultivate your connection with what really drives your behavior change. You asked about the weight loss experience of others - well, I'm down 50 lbs and have kept it off eating a whole foods, low fat plant-based diet as we have here at PCRM. Here's my photo history for you:
You can see a larger version on my website. Anything is possible. And it's all about the food, moving your body, and getting your head wrapped around it all. Welcome Annie and can't wait to see you in the January forums! Lani
