I have a peanut butter cookie flavored one that says vegan. Anyone know of any others? Or a recipe for making your own?
Thanks

Raw Revolution Bars. I like the one with spirulina and cashew. I usually buy these at whole foods.

If memory serves, all Lara bars are vegan but you can check on the company website to be sure.

Hi,
I think not all Lara bars are vegan. The ones with chocolate, I think the packaging says may contain traces of milk. I stay away from those. Usually it is the peanut butter ones that I eat.

I like the lemon Lara bar. So good.
I have added a link to some bars I like. I have to be gluten free but you would like these I think.

I keep a bar in my purse, I have low blood sugar too, so this helps when I feel weak. I tend to not eat all that much....

Hope this helps.

there are recipes for vegan energy bars in Brendan Brazier's book Thrive: the vegan nutrition guide to optimal performance in sports and life. I've only tried the Chocolate Blueberry Energy Bars so far, and I put in a bit too much liquid and got them too sticky, but they were good and I'm going to try again to get the texture right.

I don't like the fact that any store bought bar is often too sweet and it's portion size in effectively predetermined by packaging you can't reseal. I much prefer to take a small tupperware container of dried tart cherries and eat those.

we have a vegan chewy granola bar recipe I found online. It's really simple and adaptable but it isn't totally low fat because it uses nut butter. It's perfect for us when we're out all day at a craft fair - I can have just one and it keeps me from blood sugar drops. It's basically nut butter (any kind or combination), liquid sweetness (any kind or combination - agave, maple syrup, etc), rolled oats, flour (any kind or combination), mix-ins and spices (any combo of chopped nuts, dried fruit, chocolate bits, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc). The recipe calls for making bars but we use a small cookie scoop and make balls that are one-to-two bites in size (depending on your mouth).
