I made the hummus recipe from the 21-day kickstart book. Its not the first time however this time I didnt have a full 2 cups of chickpease so the mixture ended up softer and more liquid than I prefer.
I looked in the pantry to see what I could add to thicken it a little as I didnt want to have to rush to the shop to buy more chickpeas (option #1).
I saw the nutritional yeast just sitting there and gave it a try (option #2). The result was that my hummus thiclened a little to the spreadable texture I like and it has a really nice subtle change in flavor. I will add this again on purpose one day.
Does anyone else have an accidental recipe change that came out well?
