I've been vegan since the Jan Kickstart and have lost about 8-10 pounds thus far, which thrills me.
It's time for a cholestrol test and I'm curious to learn how long it takes on a vegan diet to really lower the hdl, ldl test numbers.
The lipid profile progress really varies with individuals. Some people see a rapid drop quite quickly, as noted in Rip Esslestyn's Engine 2 Diet.
Some can take a few months to reach a new baseline. I know for me personally it seems to be a slow yet progressive process.
Get a baseline as soon as you can - it sounds like maybe you have done that - so that you can have some measures over time.
All the best on your quest!
