Cellulite
Posted Friday, March 5, 2010 at 8:04 AM

Hi,

Okay, so I started the 21 day one day early so I am on day 6. My husband thinks that I am crazy, but I swear there is a severe reduction in the amount of cellulite on my thighs. This is a problem area for me and I stare at it daily. It was unnoticable this morning. Is this possible or am I crazy. I am loving this vegan diet! Very Happy

Wow. What are you two mainly eating? I am doing really good on this, but I cant tell much of a difference in that yet. I do think a lot of the bloating in my stomach is going down though, so maybe that will follow.
So far, my main diet is fruits and vegetables with a few grains and starches (potatoes). I too am loving how I am feeling on the vegan diet.

No, you are not crazy!

Cellulite seems to stem from a variety of factors (see What's the truth about cellulite). One thing that we certainly know shows up in the skin is fluid retention from the body's attempt at homeostasis. When the dietary content is highly acidic (meats) and high in sodium, the body will hold on to fluids which shows up in the skin and can take on the appearance of lumpy and bumpy. By eating a high plant based diet and avoiding many offenders, you can definitely have an impact.

What nice results so quickly! Fun!

Awesome! If people won't eat vegan for their heart or their blood sugar, maybe they will do it for their thighs! I love it! Laughing
