Hello from Scotland :D

Hey everyone,

So am new around here, and all the way from scotland! Am guessing mostly americans on here? Anyhoo I found the site last weekend while doing a search on vegan food. I have been vegetarian for 3 years no and have been having the joke with my bf about going vegan for a while now. See i always try and somehow fail. Cheese is the thing i give into Crying or Very sad

But having found this site and started the 21 day kickstart on Monday, I feel good. Not craving cheese or chocolate which are my two enemies! Not following it to a t but mixing and matching recipes and really enjoy this new lease of life! Sticking to this is really helping make it easier, so thanks!

I have a couple of quick qs though,

To get B12 must i take a supplement? And if so which kind?

Will the recipes disappear after 21 days? Silly q i know but if they will think i will save them somewhere!

Anyways sorry for the mammoth post! And hello from scotland Very Happy Very Happy

Hey Loopylou! Welcome aboard! What part of Scotland are you living? I have an e-pal in Dundee. I'm in Vancouver, Canada. We have an Aussie and someone in (oh no..is it Austria? Sorry can't remember which part of Europe!) who have contributed to the forums with the majority from different parts of the USA. Isn't it great we can all share our trials and tribulations here!

There have been posts on B12 as well as other concerns. If you enter "B12" under the search icon at the top of the page (in red) you will get a list of all the threads on the topic.

Good question about what happens to these forums and the recipes after the 21 days. I'd like to know too.

Cheers!

All we are saying is "Give Peas a Chance"

I am from Glasgow about 2 hours from Dundee!

Thanks found the thread on B12!

Well I hope after the 21 days it doesn't disappear! The support and knowing people are the exact same as you is awesome! I now feel i can be vegan, which before was always a struggle and never lasted more than a day!

Thanks guys
xx

Looks like the B12 issue has been addressed. Basically you do a need supplement in some form or another - supplemented food, multivitamin, B complex, or regular B12.

As for the menu, we were planning on pulling it for a while (until the next Kickstart which starts on March 1) and updating it/improving it based on feedback. If you want to print it out now or write down your favorite menu items, you can always go to either http://www.nutritionmd.org/index.html and type in the recipe name to find it. Some recipes were taken from this site, http://cancerproject.org/.

If enough people are particularly fond of this 21-day menu plan, we could archive it so you still have access. I'll discuss with the team.
