I am trying to cut back on sugar along with my new vegan diet. How do Dried fruits fit in ?
Dried fruits are high in sugar because it is concentrated in the dried form. However, it is natural sugar, and therefore healthier than something like a candy bar. I prefer fresh fruit because the serving sizes are larger, and I get to eat more! If you want to avoid sugar, I'd avoid dried fruit, and stick with fresh fruit.
