Specific Plan?
Posted Monday, September 5, 2011 at 6:38 AM

I haven't read everything regarding the kickstart, however, I'm wondering if there is a specific plan somewhere. Not ideas for meals but portions. i.e. A certain number of carbs per day... a certain number of protein per day...........

I read a few things NOT to eat but is there an area on the website where it's very specific?

Thank you and good luck to everyone! Very Happy

Great news! and something i really giggle about! who'd thunk? Eat when you are hungry. Stop when you are comfortable. If you get hungry again.. heck eat some more!! lol.. really lol.. someone was holding out on me when they didn't tell me about this diet!! really how great is that? you can STOP stressing about food!! and if you do this long enough you will!!! awesome!!

Here is the deal.. follow the guidelines.. low or no fat, no meat, no dairy.. now you may eat! can you tell i love it.. it's something to get really excited about!

Nope. The kickstart plan is basically low fat vegan eating. That's it. No carb or calorie counting or portion measuring. That's what makes it very doable for so many. You eat when hungry and stop when full - that's the hard part. Learning to listen to those signals that many of us have ignored for so long. so, if you make a given recipe (like pepper carrot soup) and you see that is says "makes four 1 cup servings)" and you have a one cup serving and still fell hungry, then have a salad, or more soup, or some fruit or whatever is the right "something" to be comfortably satisfied. The daily menus are basically guidelines/ideas on how to eat vegan because going from the standard omnivore eating style to vegan is a transition and many folks don't know what to eat, aside from salad.
