Always finding great reads here.

My latest is Dr. Barnards 21 day kickstart. I love this book and highly recommend picking it up. Think of it as a study guide. Laughing

Another good read is The China Study by T.Colin Campbell.

Also, Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease by Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr.

The book that set me on the path to becoming a vegetarian in 2000 was The Food Revolution by John Robbins.

If you're open for something a bit irreverent, Skinny Bitch is a good read.

Must add to the list ANYTHING by the good Dr. McDougall. Also, Rip Esselstyn's Engine 2 Diet. Dr. Barnar's Turn Off Your Fat Genes is a once-a-year read for me too, along with the rest!

I have Dr.Barnard's 21 day Kickstart book right now. I'm reading each day as we go through THIS kickstart. I actually requested the book for our library so it is brand new and came just in time. Very Happy

I have all of Dr.McDougall's books and re-read through them often. Sometimes just looking up a specific problem or solution.

I also have Dr. Esselstyn's book from the library and seem to have LOTS of his recipes tagged for this week.

We own The China Study - I should get that out and skim through that again. I like to reinforce what I've learned. It helps me stay on track.

I also have books by Dean Ornish. I've read the books by John Robbins as well (although I see he has a new one I haven't read). It amazes me that he walked away from the Baskin-Robbins fortune to choose a healthy way of life. Not only the fortune but the ICE CREAM!! Strong man. Smile

Too bad he didn't use that set up to come out with a variety of good vegan ice cream like products. With that kind of backing, man, that would be great!
