Candida

I have been struggling with candida for years now and it appears to get better and then worse. Is there anyone on kickstart with the same issue? If I follow the recipe recommendations I feel dizzy and swollen and my joints hurt. I feel pretty good if I eat just veggies though. I was eating a LOT of animal protein and very few cars before starting this to combat the candida but I just didn't feel it was healthy. I want a permament solution to candida for once and all and would love any advice from someone who has been there!

Suffer number 1 here!
I went to a holistic dr. and she helped me. I have Candida in my gut. And a rash that comes and goes. I am taking some supplements and that reallllllly helps. The thing that gets me the worst is, if I eat...cheese, sugar or white flour items. I can eat too much fruit and it can get me too.
One of the best things is WHOLE GRAINS!!! They are slow to digest and don't go to "sugars" too fast and by then they are "too week" to get me.
But this is just me.
I got my candida with a bad upper respiratory infection and then a few months later I got a skin infection that went into my eyes. I was a mess. The antibiotics for my eyes also had a steroid in it.
Eating vegan has helped also as I don't eat dairy and the sugar thing is ok if I say only have one vegan cookie. The best thing I think...is the whole grains and beans.
Good luck.
Thinking of you.
