If your having one serving(one cup) of each of those foods your not eating a lot of calories. I added yesterdays menu up to see how much it was and was shocked that is was so low in calories. Am I missing something? B I agree – the food plans as written are small, and Susan is right to say that you can add more as necessary. But also keep in mind that many people doing this plan are in it to lose some weight, so they would feel somewhat hungry – that's going to come with the territory. As far as grains, the government recommends 6-11 servings per day, a serving being 1 oz. or equivalent. 1 piece of whole grain bread would be 1 serving. You'd have to check the serving sizes of packages of the grains you eat to determine what's appropriate for you. For my daily plan, I figure out how many calories I need and then work backwards to determine how much I get to eat. It's weird, but it works!
