I am also off white flour, sugar, and cheese to help get me over this. I want to go back to being Vegan. My mind keeps pulling at me but I can't seem to do it. I try and make at least 2 meals a day Vegan. I wonder if I can work it out to 3. Why can't I give up tuna, salmon, turkey and chicken and yogurt? I feel like I am hooked on them. Red meat is no problem and I am grateful for that. I need all your help. I want to get off the other meat. Funny thing is, giving up the cheese was no problem. I didn't drink milk so the only thing that I still need to get over is the yogurt. Help please. What is it about those foods that is attractive? Color, flavor, texture, social associations (like salmon is what you and someone special ate on your first date so it has a feel-good association), etc. Then, look at ways to meet the underlying need in a vegan way. For instance, if you pulse a bunch of cooked chickpeas in the food pro once or twice (just enough to break them down but not pureed like hummus) and add mayo sub, diced onion and celery, it's a lot like tuna salad. Yogurt was a hard one when I did the Sept kickstart. I kept to my one yogurt per day the whole time. Then, after the kickstart ended, I went grocery shopping and I had to make some budget choices and chose to skip the yogurts for that week, put the yogurt back on the shopping list, same thing again the next week. After a couple weeks of choosing not to buy it, I didn't miss it much anymore. --Deb R
