GREAT COOKS THINK ALIKE! Your recipe sounds good; thought you would like mine I made yesterday..had it for two meals, makes very large quantity and may freeze if desired:
Saute together till slightly soft::
Chopped celery, green pepper, carrots, onion, red bell pepper and garlic. Ground black pepper and sea salt to taste plus 1/2 t. red pepper flakes.
Add: Head of cabbage, bite size chop, 1 large can diced tomatoes, 1 large container Organic Vegetable broth, 3/4 c water and 1/2 brown rice.
Bring to boil and simmer ~2 hrs or until the cabbage and brown rice is tender..YUM!Gramma
