Haven't started yet but I am tonight.

Hey guys! This is my first time doing this so it is a little overwhelming but I'm excited. I plan on following the plan as close as I can but I am getting my wisdom teeth out at the end of the week and won't be able to eat much of anything. I hope I can stick to this. I've thought about being vegan for a long time and this seems like a great way to start.

Hi there,
Congratulations on trying this! I can totally relate to the wisdom teeth operation – I went through the same. Some of the vegan foods that I used after the surgery, that you might be able to benefit from:
-- steamed or baked mashed sweet potatoes
-- mashed boiled cauliflower
-- canned green beans
-- canned beans, mashed (they're softer than home-cooked beans)
-- soup, soup, soup!
-- Amy's brand frozen dinners, once you can chew a little bit – the black bean & tofu enchilada is vegan, as is the veggie meatloaf. Not the healthiest, but it'll do in a pinch.
-- green smoothies
-- homemade chili, mashed with a potato masher after cooking
-- lots and lots of water and lukewarm tea

I hope some of these are helpful. Smile

Great tips Molly! or just take anything you like and stick it in the blender..
what about a cold soup? or a usually cold soup served at room temp? don't know if you would have hot/cold sensitivity....

I hope you had an excellent and tasty first day.

Thanks for the great suggestions! I had a great time yesterday. I'm not following the kickstart exactly because I haven't had time to go to the store but I am being as vegan as I can (If it's not vegan, it's at least vegeterrian and organic) and I started working out this morning. Having a great time so far.
