Question - The Kind Diet
Posted Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 9:24 PM

Some of Alicia Silverstone's recipes were featured on the Oprah show today. One was a bean dip that appeared to be topped with cheese.

Has anyone got the book? Does she actually use dairy cheese in this recipe?? (we just saw what it looked like, no ingredients were given)

All we are saying is "Give Peas a Chance"

There is no dairy.

Here's the link to the recipe:

It's a good read, get it from the library. It's vegan chesse and I'm sure they picked it because it seemed mainstream. Didn't she look so cute on Oprah?
yaeh Alicia!

I love her book. Her book is actually what lead me to this site. She has some great recipes. Hot Rice with lemon and tomato...how can something so simple be so delicious? Wink

I actually made her particular bean dip for a work potluck on Friday. (I omitted the fake cheese on top as I am a recovering cheese addict and nothing tastes the same to me.) ;o) The dip was a huge hit. I did manage to put it out with no one looking so no one knew that "the VEGAN" made it. Everyone loved it and were very suprised to find out it was mine. It was such a yummy recipe, I'll definitely be making it again in the future.
