Back in the long ago, hubby had a huge commute and mine was almost around the corner close - he averaged an hour each way in good weather, mine was more like 10-15 minutes. So, we'd decide dinner the night before or over breakfast and I'd set up his "mise en place" to use a chef-word. I'd do the dicing and slicing and check the recipe for ingredients (if we were using a recipe). I'd have everything measured, diced, sliced, portioned and arranged by the time he got home. All it required was the cooking. This was really great for doing fresh quick stir fries and such particularly. --Deb R
