I have to say that I am very excited to discover that mustard greens, turnip greens and broccoli all score higher on the calcium chart than kale. I kind of thought that kale was the only "good" option and was worried I was going to become sick of it very quickly. I need to locate a more comprehensive list so I can figure out how other greens measure up. Thanks!

I love brussel sprouts! Am I weird? Haha. I much prefer to get my calcium through greens. This is great info, thanks!

The China Study by T. Colin Campbell is another good one. I was never a lover of dairy foods, but this book is what pushed me to get my omnivore hubby off of dairy.

thanks lani.. i posted that page to my facebook.. people are always asking.. why give up milk.. that answers it for them. i guess the easy reason is that since i changed to either 1% or skim, it just isn't good, it's like water. (i like water) .. also now i can give them your 3 reasons too! i plan on checking out that book when i have more time. btw lani... if you make your title tooo long, people can't just hit reply and save... an error message comes up. .. if they don't notice that, and click away, they might not realize their response didn't hit the forum.. I learned that the day i posted what is your food? jan 4th. 2nd day.... so now my titles are shorter... i don't want to miss the replies
