One thing you have noticed

What is one thing you have noticed since starting this diet?

Mine is: Since Hubby is not on this diet with me, and I am a stay at home mom I still have to prepare meat and cheese dinners. One thing that I never realized I did (well at least not as much as I do) Is pick at food while cooking. The first week was the worst, one night I started to grab a pinch of shredded cheese and toss it in my mouth, I stopped myself before I did it, but it amazed me how second nature tossing food in my mouth was, even when I wasn't hungry. I also taste my meals alot while I cook, which I never noticed until I had to cook meat dishes "blind". I can only imagine the extra calories I added on everyday that I didn't even think about!

I have also noticed that I use a LOT of seasoning and spices when I cook.... They aren't needed when it is veggies (at least not to the degree I used them) It was nothing to use 4 table spoons of garlic in a meat dish (maybe more I used fresh) In my veggies dishes I only need a little bit..... I think I was trying to cover the taste of the meat before.

Cooking for others is very difficult! I made a meal for a family that I cook for when their mom isn't well. I've made the dish plenty of times past but it calls for ground beef and cheese so I couldn't taste it to see if I had the seasonings right. I haven't heard any complaints so hopefully it was edible. After it was done didn't look very appealing to me. I noticed that the cheese looked greasy....gross!

On a positive note, since starting the 21 day I have more energy and I'm enjoying learning new recipes.

One thing i noticed first was how different the middle of my body felt after a meal. I wasn't tired & could bound off the couch at a moments notice for any little thing. Lots of energy.

I like no food hangovers!

I noticed that I don't wander the kitchen looking for something to eat that I shouldn't! It's so nice to be satisfied and not wanting to eat junk (or the wallpaper Very Happy)

I've noticed that I have outstanding bowel movements. LOL Sorry if this is gross but it's amazing to me!

Well both my husband and I are on the vegan diet and he is losing weight much quicker than I but we both have more energy and are sleeping much better. I'm actually having fun trying new recipes too.

I noticed the reasons why I ate and what my true food /eating patterns were.

After meals I found I often wanted more - even on a full stomach - and would pick and food all the time. I have since read that this is because the body was not getting the nutrients it needs (although it was getting a lot of volume) and was trying to tell me something. I have lost that wanting more after a meal need as I am more satisfied.
