That's great! I'm glad it's getting mainstream exposure instead of just being mentioned on vegan websites. Although I read the book long after becoming vegan, it still gave me a wealth of information to tell my family and friends about who are ill =]

For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea

The China Study is what moved me from vegetarian to vegan. My business partner went from omnivore to vegan after reading Skinny Bitch. Her favorite comfort food was mac and cheese. She hasn't had any "real" cheese in over 2 years. Both books are pretty graphic about what dairy foods really do to your health and your body.

The not-cheese sauce that uses cashew (or almond) and nutritional yeast makes a fabulous mac'n'cheese if you want to treat her to an old friend made new again Smile

I've not read the China Study yet. I think I will order it today on my new Kindle.

I switched to a Vegan diet to see if it would be beneficial healthwise and to hope my family would improve their eating habits. Now I see I am becoming more and more sensitive to the way animals are mistreated, and my reasons for following a vegan diet are growing!
