Sadly Amusing After 3 Years
Posted Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 3:26 PM
Sadly amusing story: I have eaten PCRM style for almost 3 years. My Sister-in-law is putting on a family feast for her husband's birthday and was describing the fare (shrimp, beef, etc). and then said to me "and I made a broccoli casserole so you will have something to eat as well." And I said, "so no cheese?" and she said, "I always make it with cheese." <Sigh>

And i would have said . . . Gosh that drums up some anger for me. I need to pray about a nice response instead. I guess i would say, that is so nice of you to go to the extra effort. Too bad I don't eat food with cheese. kc

So, Smday...what will you do now? Will you pick off the cheese? Eat it (as my daughter says, "Buddhist philosphy style - waste nothing") or...?
All we are saying is "Give Peas a Chance"

Back to the usual; I will attend the festivities pre-fed. My S-I-L chose gastric bypass surgery over a PCRM diet to control her type 2 diabetes so its not like she will be able to eat much either. Difference is that I can enjoy healthy foods both before and after the party; she is stuck with her rearranged digestive system forever.

Wow, and I thought about having that done. But I know that overeating would still happen as we have seen it in all the stars. I am kinda worried that I found so many yummy recipes for vegans on allrecipes.com last night. I am making the black bean brownie right now. I am having a problem getting it done. Anyways, it doesn't matter. The batter is good enough. ha. kc

How about bringing along your most delicious vegan dish to share with everyone? That way, no one will be asking you, "so what do you eat?"

Thats what I would do, take something so good that they will all love it. That may make a difference.
