My raw foods blog
Posted Friday, January 14, 2011 at 8:24 PM

Hi all, just joined the forum, but I've been doing the program "under the radar".
I'm a personal chef and certified health educator in the Hippocrates approach to optimum health (raw, vegan, living foods). I have a blog where I post about raw foods I prepare:

I'm also on FB: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Thyme-To-Cook-Personal-Chef-Service/116612145025663

Feel free to check it all out

Very Happy
Have a good weekend, Sharon

Theodore - I post about foods that I cook on my Thyme To Cook blog, some are vegan, some are not. Just giving the opportunity for people to check it out....my raw foods blog is all vegan, and raw, which also is not for everyone....feel free to check out what you'd like.
thanks for your response,
Sharon

Hey there - thanks for pointing that out to me. Not sure what happened w.the address.
and as I said in the original post, it's my "cooked" foods blog (as opposed to raw)...and some of it's vegan, some of it isn't, some of it's gluten free, some of it's with gluten - mixed bag....
enjoy...

The wrap idea was interesting. What was the texture like? I actually own a food dehydrator that I haven't used in many years. I don't have the space to try it at the moment (kitchen is torn apart due to remodeling), but it looks interesting enough to try in the near future. Not having to deal with yeast (which is difficult and confuses me) is a plus. I have no intention of going raw, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy the occasional raw meal.

It amazes me looking at all the food blogs recently, just how creative people can be. I always thought going vegan was really hard,, but it's not that bad if you cook your own food (or live in a city big enough to buy ready made stuff).

Hey peasandrice, the texture was really nice: chewy and a bit crunchy from the sesame seeds. The coconut gives the wrap a nice sweet flavor that works with the onion very well. You get the added bonus of flax (omega fatty acids, protein and fiber).....you could flavor the wrap with virtually any spice to make it sweet or savory.
I could see using cinnamon and nutmeg and a bit of agave or even dates to make a sweet wrap to use for dessert...let me know if you get the dehydrator out!! Smile thanks,
Sharon

I've been told by someone that my cooked foods blog is inappropriate b/c its not all vegan. I have pulled that blog from this thread.
If you are interested in any cooked foods that I do (vegan, veg and non-veg) please email me and I'll gladly point you to that blog.
