are rice cakes an OK snack?

My big downfall is simple carbs. I got some plain rice cakes the other day and they were so yummy. I felt like I was not supposed to be eating them. I had 2 with some almond butter in the afternoon at work. I was hungry so I had them for a snack. I have been following the diet and I lost maybe a pound or 2 - doesn't seem like much; hope it continues.

a pound a week is really good. You would not want to lose more than 1.5 lbs a week if you want to keep it off forever.

Rice cakes are fine, expecially brown rice cakes, careful with the nut butters Smile

Around here (small town far from city) we are starting to get these cakes in quiƱoa and millet... have you seen them? Mix it up if you can. Variety is important.

Thanks, I am happy they are OK; they make a nice crunchy snack. I have not tried quonia or millet ones. I have not heard of them; I will try them If I can find them. Probably Whole Foods has them
