what is your food today Wed Jan 19th?
Posted Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 6:50 AM

hi all,
Gee i get to go back to work today! I closed the place yesterday so my employees and customers wouldn't have to try and drive on ice to get to me.

i did get to shovel every 2 hours tho!! even 11pm i was shoveling.. now i see the snowplow went by this am.. and the guy who does the sidewalks.. so i have 3 little rifts.. one on each side of the sidewalk and one at the end of the driveway.. Rolling Eyes

so what are you eating today???? are you all getting better at planning for this????

b-cereal..
l-soup
d-burritos..
snack..(what a nice word..if you don't believe me, just say it a few times..)oh...yes.. probably an apple.. i don't have many snacks around right now.. favorites are fruit.

b: usual cereal and plant milk
l: leftovers - not sure whether it will be leftover mac, cheez and peas or bean soup, or chili corn bread or whatever but it will include a salad
d: not sure, depends on how hubby's feeling this afternoon after clearing the slush from the driveway. I think he's planning to do a broccoli alfredo - whole wheat rotini, fresh broccoli, and making the not-cheese sauce without the roasted peppers so it stays more white like a creamy alfredo. It's really yummy!
s: apple, maybe a banana if they're ripe enough, otherwise possibly some canteloupe

B: oil-free hash browns with spinach.
s: leftover oatmeal
L: baked potato smothered in mixed veggies
s: Apple. Maybe some popcorn
D: ?? Maybe leftovers. Parents still visiting and may want to go out. Will have to see what everyone is in the mood for this evening. If we go out, I'm pushing for the Thai restaurant that is in my neighborhood.

I am on a raw food detox. Today is day three. Feeling better than yesterday. Can't wait for next week to get onto just regular vegan foods. This is my first week of vegan eating. I am really excited. I am an environmental major in college, and am making major life changes to be true to my profession, including veganism, quitting smoking, yoga and volunteering.

hi.. i don't think there is a way to delete a message if you hit it twice.. the only thing i did one time is go back and edit one of my posts.. i suppose you could just think of something different to say... so it looks like 2 separate posts... Cool

today didn't turn out quite the way i expected. mom asked me down tonight to try a curry soup she made.. i took her some of my spicy thai from nutrion md...

her soup really wasn't soup.. it was like a stir fry with lots of sauce... i put it over rice.. it was a curry sauce w/tofu and peppers.. it was good.. not something i would make because of all the coconut milk that was in it..

i am so glad she is thinking of sometimes not eating meat... partly because she is a great cook and i will get lots of different food.. and because it will be better for her health.
