The Royal Wedding Feast
Posted Friday, April 29, 2011 at 2:19 AM
Hi everyone and especially Theodore, It seems our TV reporters in New Zealand have gone a bit nuts over the Royal Wedding in England. I know you are getting some coverage in the USA as I saw Sharon Osborne was one of the reporters. So for a bit of fun.... What is the one vegan dish you would add to the menu if you were planning the wedding feast? I would have the Black Bean Brownies with dairy free ice cream for dessert.

Ha!! Good question Kiwi. Well I'm very good friends with Wills and Kate as you can imagine, and I'll be attending the wedding. I'll be sitting on Charles and Camilla's table so keep your eyes pealed. By "sitting", I of course mean "dancing". Things always get pretty wild when me Charles and Camilla are together. Thanks to me, their catering is always 100% vegan. Back in 2003 I gave Wills a copy of the China Study with the picture of Dr Campbell photoshopped to make him look like Michael Pollan. Michael Pollan was Will's idol at the time. I also had the author's name altered accordingly. It really did the trick. They often prepare the food to make it look like meat though, so Country Life readers can enjoy the photos. Hope this helps. Theodore

You can tell the royal couple is vegan -- they are both so trim and slim. Did you notice that people who eat this way have a certain look? I'm getting there - I am finding bones I didn't know I had

It may be why I am not as slim and trim as this vegan couple. I am changing the menu to fruit for dessert and something without too many beans for mains - perhaps a rice dish and some macaroni and not cheese for the little ones. With that many people in a room, a lot of beans may not be a good idea at such an important function.

I have been so busy of late I had to send my apologies and could not attend the wedding myself. I did look for you in the crowd on TV but missed seeing the kickstart T-shirt.

Hey Kiwi and all, I'm emailing you live from the reception. Prince Charles has lent me his laptop. Here's the vid so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kav0FEhtLug BW Theodore

I had a break in schedule and decided to read this link! Love the video action Theodore, well done as usual! I soooooo needed a pleasure moment.
