Forks over Knives......again
Posted Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2:30 PM
I just watched this amazing movie. OMG! I know it has been said here before but if this does not get you on the whole plant biased eating plan nothing will. I wish this would be required viewing in health class in high school. Or before....when they would get scared what meat and dairy can do to a body. I just can't say it enough... Thank you all for all your support and fun here for these past few years.

Don't you love it? I was thinking of getting it for everyone in my family as a holiday gift!

That sounds like a very good idea. I might steel it. But I'll give you credit.

I ordered mine on Amazon. Not sure it's cheap as I don't know what the full price is. I think they did discount it a few $$. Is it in the PCRM store? I didn't think to even look there.

I don't know if it's in the PCRM store! If it is, it wouldn't be cheaper than Amazon.

I just went to Amazon.com and ordered copies for all my friends, and the total cost was just under $32.00. How great is that ?

Yeah, I think it was $15.99 each. But I've only got 2 friends, so the total was only $31.98. How great is that ?

I bought mine from Amazon back in August when it came out on DVD for $14 and change. Maybe the price has gone up due to demand (that would be great)! My teen refuses to watch it, I don't think hubby would, but my 8-year-old really wants to watch it. My teen has taken stats and biology, so she knows everything. Therefore, the China study can't be right cuz of the statistical reasons, and she had some biology argument against the dairy and meat protein are bad idea. Yikes!! So, I agree, get kids to see it early-on before they know everything (haha).

I know that teens know it all. I raised 3. There use to be a joke by a person I can't remember. He said ...."When I was 19 my parents were so dumb I didn't know how they got along. When I was 21 they were so out of touch. When I was 23 they seemed to be getting smarter. And when I was 24 I was amazed at how much they had learned in one short year." Or something like that.

I DO think this movie should be shown in the schools!! Especially about the whole dairy business with casein. My daughter is in 8th grade and they watched Food, Inc. and will be watching Supersize Me soon!! I think they should be adding Forks over Knives throughout the US school system!!
