What is the deal with spinach? I think I've read that it does something to make it harder for your body to take in calcium, blocks absorption? I use it alot in green juices in the am, stir frys, ect along with kale and chard. Is it the same nutritionally as the other dark leafies?

It is not the same. Consider spinach and chard great sources of iron, not calcium. Still healthful and important to overall wellness!

Got to watch out for the science stories that focus on a single nutrient. If we condemn any item for any one effect, we'd just sit and starve.
