Loved your blog. Keep it up. This is my third kickstart and have never managed to do all the recipes. Hope it happens for you! Cooking for your(adorable)kids will help. The recipes just made too much for one and so I ate lots of leftovers, which I love, but could never do all the recipes.

I've stayed vegan and love the way I eat, feel great and am about 40 pounds lighter than January when I started my first Kickstart. Thank goodness for the Goodwill Boutique.

I've done so well over the summer that I don't know if I really need the Kickstart but love knowing that more and more people are eating so well. I learn by their learning.

Your blog will be fun. I'm looking forward to more entries.

Hey, Momma Luna..Great results. I have high hopes. I have taken a "before" picture and a good scale. I like to go to Saint Augustine for consigned clothes. I've heard about a really grand Goodwill in Sarasota that I hope to check out on my vacation. Perhaps I'll be a smaller size by mid October. I live in a very small town which has a traffic light and a Dollar General, oh, and about seven gas stations. Our industry, according to Florida Trends magazine is tubing. This weekend will be the mark of the end of the season...Tubing doesn't use very many calories...Elizabeth

Ok, you got me. What is tubing? Maybe I don't know because I'm inland on the west coast.

We have a Goodwill, St. Vincent Depaul, Salvation Army and 4 other thrift shops--more thrift stores than clothing stores for new clothes.

As you change sizes the thrift stores are really your friends!

Tubing is the art of non-movement. You place an inner-tube under you as you float down stream allowing the currents to take you past the wildlife. I like using the Santa fe River and the Itchetucknee River. The Santa fe is a block from me. It takes about 45 minutes to go from the upper landing to the lower landing...Relaxing fun...Elizabeth

We do something similar only we call it rafting. Our river (the world famous Rogue) has quite a bit of white water so you get pretty wet which is great on some of our hot summer days. I can't say it's effortless since by afternoon the wind blows upriver so there is usually lots of rowing involved. We try to get in at least two rafting trips a year (about 4 hrs long). I think your relaxing trip sounds really inviting.

I have a before and after picture but have no idea how to get them out here. They're in my picture file, but I can't get them to copy. I have a pic I'd like to use as my avatar, but again, can't get it out here. Any suggestions?

Hey, MommaLuna!

Great to see another left coastie! I love the Rogue River; it is such a pretty natural area. My parents moved to Grants Pass 4 years ago; I visit a couple of times a year. Are you near there?

You can get some great vegan pizza at The Vine in the GP and Kaleidoscope in Medford. They each have a pizza that is loaded with great Mediterranean veggies. Just order without cheese...and you'll have an amazing taste treat at either restaurant. Never thought I'd like cheeseless pizza!

Jamie R
Grants Pass is where I live! Hope that when you visit your parents you let me know and we can get together for that great pizza.

We love Kaleidoscope but haven't tried the Vine yet. Also try Blondies on G Street--they've just added vegan entrees to their menu and it's so nice inside too. And Las Fajitas on the Parkway by Gooseberries. They have the best veggies fajitas.

I loved being called an left coastie--I used to be really a left coastie when I lived in Brookings. While we loved the ocean we are so happy here in the beautiful Rogue River Valley. I'll never leave for long.
