Vegan for CKD

Does anyone know if a Vegan diet is good for someone with Chronic Kidney Disease?

What I've heard is that low-protein is key, which is good because protein is naturally low on a vegan diet (as long as you're stearing clear of the fake meats). Apparently phosphorous and potassium also need to be restricted depending on how advanced the disease is.

No doubt Susan will chime in.

Yes! There are a lot of nutritional considerations for someone with CKD, and a vegan diet can help meet them. Here's detailed information:

Let me know if you have any specific questions about this information!
