thinking outside the box

It is easy to just click on a search and ask for vegan recipes, add any adjective you like and off you go into the world. Zillions of recipes and ideas at your finger tips.
My Mom reminded me that vegan recipes have always been in our lives. Just open any cookbook and there they are. Every ethnicity has vegan recipes, they ate what they could grow, forage or easily be found at the local market.
Opening your grandmother's cookbooks could reveal recipes like: Malfoof - sweet & sour stuffed cabbage, Ful Medames -Egyptian fava beans, Khichdi - Indian rice with lentils.
She also reminded me there is no recipe that cannot be changed to your own taste, enjoy experimenting and creating. Very Happy
