Well I just finished Dr Fuhrman's book. It does make since. When I eat more grains I don't loose any weight. I like the idea of keeping the meals simple. But I like going on Dr MacDougal's blog for gardening tips and recipes. It's nice having a varitey of different ideas,

That's good to know, and I think you're right about the weight loss... I'm the same way. Thank you for posting that review/thought!

Hi all,
I've been reading Eat to Live and really enjoying it, so I started exploring Fuhrman's website. I'm interested in using it, but am taken aback by the high cost of membership – $15 a month! For any of you who are members, is it worth the cost? I'm on a really tight budget, and every penny counts around here, so I want to make sure my money is well spent.

I suppose I could just buy one month's worth and see if I like it (it's not a contract, is it?) – but before I do, any reviews, thoughts, two cents'?

Thank you, all!
-Molly

I think, when I joined it was a 3 month minimum, but it also wasn't $15 a month, I think it was $9. I thought it was worth it for a few months. I got some great recipes, it was nice to be able to listen to some of his past teleconferences, it was nice to be able to search the message boards and find his answers to other people. AND I think it would be great to be able to ask him questions and get answers. I never really had any questions. I'm getting ready to cancel it since I don't use it near as much as I did when I first signed up. So I guess my answer is "yes" I think it's worth it if you're getting valuable information. When that slows, then cancel it.

I don't know if you are familiar with a web site called SparkPeople.com but it is a health and diet web site that has TONS of helpful information and it is absolutely FREE. I am the Team Leader of the "Eat To Live" Team and we share lots of information, recipes, food ideas, etc. If you want to check it out my "Spark" name is Wild4Stars. You can create a web page, called your SparkPage, you join teams, post blogs, chat on threads. It's like a social network for people on the path to health. I have gained SO MUCH from participating. They also have a McDougal Team, all kinds of vegetarian and vegan teams. There's a food log, ways to track your exercise, water consumption, just about anything you want. And I know it's hard to believe, there is no catch it is 100% FREE.

Check it out. Come by my SparkPage and leave me a note, check out the "Eat To Live" team, mostly just have fun.
