If you mean combining foods is somehow bad, like mixing carbs with protein, then no, there is no evidence to support that theory. However, combining foods does influence absorbability of some nutrients. I would consider that neither good nor bad. For example, citrus with spinach will make iron from the spinach more absorbable.
