What is your food today Thurs Feb 3?

hi all,
today will be somewhat boring for me, as far as food goes.. it's all good... just leftovers.. I seem to be stopped up around my sinuses..Crying or Very sad
I did the nettie pot 3x yesterday..and took a claritin.. the claritin didn't help AT ALL. Ears are even stopped up.

the good news is yesterday i finished a couple of books.. mad cowboy and vegan with a vengence.. I even typed up a few recipes from vengence to add to my collection.

b-cereal & banana..(yesterday i had oatmeal)
l-soup w/carrot muffins
d-red beans, rice & salsa..
s-fruit.

Hope you're feeling better,

Cold and sunny here today,

Food today is
B - 12 grain cereal with blueberries and soy milk
l - frozen veggies (the mix of winter vegetables from Costco) with nutritional yeast and a bit of salad dressing mixed with about 5 times water.
d - leftovers - baked tofu with peanut sauce, veggies and rice.

Off to the book sale at the library - hope they have some vegan cookbooks but I doubt it.

Colds are stinky! Feel better soon.

Cold and sunny here today. Zero degrees now, but up to the mid teens! Woo hoo!!!

b: hash browns, no oil, spinach and onions
s: banana (will avoid the donuts at the long meeting I am attending!)
l: big salad bar salad with all the veggies I can pile on. fat free dressing
s: ?
d: Kashi pilaf is in the rice cooker, timed to be done at suppertime. Stir fried veggies and tofu with soy sauce, garlic and ginger.

l: leftover pepper and carrot soup, All Bran multigrain crackers, tossed salad with sprinkle of ground flaxseed and balsamic vinegar, clementine orange
d: lentil and chickpea pilaf with braised kale
s: apple, banana, cookies (choc-choc chip-pecan from Veganomicon)

Oops - slight error: dinner is a chickpea and quinoa pilaf (not lentils) with the braised kale

DANG. I totally forgot that I have a dinner date tonight before going to a play at our civic theater. So, no kashi pilaf and stir fry. But they do have a nice veggie chili and green salad at this restaurant so that will be my dinner. And a nice glass of wine. Very Happy

Oh, why did I eat those Potatoe chips today????
They've been sitting on top of the fridge since new years eve!

B: oatmeal
L: Pasta with leftover eggplant sauce
S: potatoe chips and applesauce oat muffin
D: spinach tofu lasagne

hi Veggies.. you and me.. potato chips.. ahhh.. mine also sit on top of the fridge... except day before yesterday.. i took them and stored them in the basement. It worked.. no chips.... I gotta really want them to go in the cold and get them.
Also of course when i DO eat chips, i get a bowl of chips, never sit down with the bag... bad idea for me..

you know i remember in high school i could take a bag of chips to my room...if i wanted to eat it, no big deal.. i was skinny as a rail..115 lbs.. i also remember drinking regular soda, eating donuts for breakfast (they used to be 2.69 doz) sometime i could fool myself... by looking at some people that eat horrible.. soda, donuts, icecream, little nutrious food at all.. and say to myself, "they are thin.. maybe the fat makes the food pass right thru.. it's just junk your body doesn't need, so off it goes... i was thin when i ate it.. so maybe all this low fat junk, and 30%fat is junk"..I never seemed to lose what i wanted.. then i would notice that those people were sick a lot...(i never was)...so all that diet stuff they put out, just seemed wrong, but i was confused as to what was right, because even eating small portions of meat, no hfcs,and veggies didn't doit (chips may have helpedhere)I thought maybe i just had to exercise harder.. run instead of walk.. and the no carb diet,i just refused.. i knew that was wrong..

Anyway.. i am glad i found vegan.. i can eat great tasting food, eat when i am hungry, not count anything and feel great most of the time. There is no wondering if it is good for me.

You know maybe on my way out the door today i will just take those chips and chuck em. That's what happens to food that stays in the basement.
