EAting same recipe over and over
Posted Friday, January 1, 2010 at 4:13 PM

I'm the only one in my household doing this yet the first recipe is for 8. I cut the Couscous Confetti Salad recipe in half but still will be eating it for several meals. If I vary my breakfast and dinner is it a problem to eat the same thing over and over.

By the way, it is delicious!!javascript:addSmiley('Very Happy');

Eating same recipe over and over

As long as you don't get bored, there is no problem. In the long run you'll be happiest and healthiest if you eat a variety of whole foods, including beans, potatoes, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Nuts and seeds are great, too, in moderation.

Your food variety can be over a matter of days or even weeks and you won't have to worry about your health.

If you are the only one in your family on the Kickstart program, do have some additional food for the others to taste. If you are low key about it, they are not likely to resist a forkful. They may find they like the food a lot better than they thought they would.

It would be helpful the recipes were for 1 or 2.

Thanks for your replies. I do think it would help if the recipes were for smaller amounts. There are very few families even that have 8 people in them.

I sure liked the taste of the recipe so will eat it at several meal each time I make it.

Try this cookbook, too: Table for Two: Meat-and-Dairy-Free Recipes for Two, by Jo Stepaniak

Right now, it's $12.95 at the PCRM site, and with the 10% off coupon, that's only $11.66. http://pcrm.org/shop/cookbooks/table.html
