It wouldn't hurt to review the information from past days, but you could probably jump into the 3rd day's menu.

cch22, you aren't the only late-comer. We just got back from vacation so now I am reading the forums and trying to catch up on things. I think the important thing is to learn and get as much info as you can, not necessarily to follow every menu exactly.

Yep I agree. I started late. I decided to try it for 21 days then make a decision again about my eating. I doubt if i will return to being a meat eater every day. I have no desire to eat beef and chicken. It got boring and really not all that healthy. I am wondering if i will miss dairy (cheese) and seafood.

Those two (cheese & seafood) are my exact same concerns!!

One more concern.. In another post, someone said they had been vegan for a while.. then decided to have 4 chicken wings; she got really sick.

See I was thinking.. i would try this for 21 days .. then make a decision. Maybe i would have one day a week that I could just eat anything.. like seafood I love sea scallops, lobster and chinese food and PIZZA.. who doesn't like a big cheezy pizza? I can eat a veggie one. .. or I could endulge in cheese cake or carrot cake..

I do know once a while back i restricted sugar. Boy did i get ill when i ate a bunch. Small amounts were more than enough.
My sister in law is vegetarian.. and gets sick if she gets off the diet.

So it is a little bit of a concern if i can EVER have sweets, cheese or seafood again. I might have to negoiate a vegetarian diet with a cheat day.

But we will see. I am going to give this plan a fair shot and follow it as well as I can. It is up in the air what i do after this. I don't have to decide the rest of my life today.

I just got on board today with the menu. I will start week one on Monday of everyone's week two. I do not care when I start as long as I start. Right??

I was a big lover of dairy, eggs especially. I have been going to a vegan support group and decided to try giving them up for awhile. You do have to learn to cook some items in a new way, but the longer you are away from them, the less you want them. I am also lactose intolerant so giving up what little I ate was a huge help. Last spring I was at a club pizza party and had a cheese-less, tomato basil pizza, extra sauce made for me. It was more pizza than I could eat, but others tried it and kept eating it till I told them to back off. Slowly cut out different items and I think you will discover over time that you won't miss dairy at all.

@ Rita- you might be right about me not missing dairy. I thought about pizza. More times than i can count i have taken paper towels and patted the top of a pizza to get some of the grease off. So i guess it is possible not to miss pizza. Thanks. Laughing
