RE: What about sodium?

Eliminating processed foods will certaily help. As for canned foods, I've been able to find almost all beans and tomato products packaged without sodium. We don't address sodium too much in the Kickstart. However, if you have a history of high blood pressure, you want to be aware of sodium added to foods. The standard recommendation is no more than 2300 mg per day for adults. Some say it should be no more than 1500 mg per day. It really depends on your health and what your physician has advised.
